Arthur Wicksteed, a 50-something doctor in a small Home County town, is having a mid-life crisis. His son is a hypochondriac, his wife as caring as stone and - to Arthur - his life is empty. Cue the arrival of a young temptress who is determined not to be party to the marriage her mother has arranged for her. Arthur sees his chance - but it is not without complication. A comical farce!
