Welcome to the BHOS Community Arts Hub

Unleashing Creativity in the Heart of Hollingbury

Located in the vibrant neighbourhood of Hollingbury, Brighton, the BHOS Community Arts Hub is more than just a venue—it’s a creative home. With a long history of supporting the arts and charitable projects, we are thrilled to finally have a space to call our own. After years of moving between temporary locations, the BHOS Hub is now firmly rooted in Hollingbury, ready to establish strong connections with our local community.

Although we’re still in the process of making the space suitable for the wider public, exciting things are on the horizon. From the new year, we’ll be launching a full range of creative workshops, community events, and much more. Until then, we invite you to learn more about what we do and how you can get involved.

What We Offer

Musical Theatre Choir

Our popular Musical Theatre Choir is already in full swing, rehearsing every Wednesday evening. It’s a great opportunity for performers of all abilities to enjoy the magic of show tunes, meet new people, and perform in exciting future productions. Come along and sing your heart out!

Theatre Productions

Theatre has always been at the heart of BHOS, and we’re proud to continue our long-standing tradition of staging both original and classic plays. Although we're still finalising our performance spaces, we're gearing up to produce fantastic shows in the new year. Whether you want to act, direct, or help behind the scenes, there’s a place for you in our theatre family.

Creative Spaces for Hire

While we prepare our venue for wider public use, we’re still offering space for hire to local artists, groups, and organisations. If you need a rehearsal room or somewhere to develop your creative projects, get in touch to discuss how we can support your needs. Our spaces are affordable and flexible.

Coming Soon – Workshops & Community Events

As we prepare to launch in the new year, we’re planning an exciting range of workshops and community events for all ages and abilities. From drama and visual arts to creative writing and dance, there will be something for everyone. Keep an eye on our website and social media for announcements about when our full programme will take off in 2024.

Our Charitable Work

For years, BHOS has been at the forefront of charitable projects, promoting access to the arts for disadvantaged groups and ensuring that creativity remains accessible to all. Now, with our permanent home in Hollingbury, we are excited to expand our charitable work and engage even more with the local community. Our mission is to create inclusive opportunities where everyone can experience the transformative power of the arts.

Why BHOS?

A Creative Home for All

No matter your age or experience, BHOS believes creativity is for everyone. Our inclusive environment is designed to welcome artists, performers, and creative individuals from all walks of life, ensuring that everyone can find their place here.

Support Local Talent

We’re committed to nurturing Brighton’s vibrant arts scene and supporting the local talent that makes our city so unique. Whether you’re an emerging artist or a seasoned pro, BHOS is here to help you shine.

A Space for the Community

After many years of searching, we’re thrilled to have finally found a permanent home. Our goal is to build strong, lasting relationships with the Hollingbury community and create a welcoming space where people can come together through the arts. We’re excited to see where this journey takes us!

Join Our Team – Volunteers Needed!

As we prepare to launch fully, we’re seeking volunteers to help in all areas of our productions and events. Whether you’re interested in directing, choreography, scenic artistry, technical roles, or front-of-house and box office duties, we’d love to have you as part of the team. Volunteering with BHOS is a great way to gain experience, meet new people, and contribute to a thriving local arts community.

Get Involved!

We may still be in the set-up phase, but we’re always eager to welcome new people into our creative family. Whether you want to sing in our choir, get involved in theatre, or volunteer your time, the BHOS Community Arts Hub is the place for you. The new year will bring even more exciting opportunities—so watch this space!
